The Nature Conservancy Colombia

The Decision Support System in the Magdalena Macrobasin (SIMA for its acronym in Spanish) provides a tool for sharing perspectives and promoting dialogue on cumulative impacts on freshwater ecosystems. It supports environmental authorities in the decision-making process, and allows community actors to be informed and involved in conservation strategies.

The Ecosystem-Based Adaptation project (AbE for its acronym in Spanish) is a pilot program implemented in two regions within the Magdalena Macro-basin to promote that floodplains continue to provide services and benefits to the community by reducing the losses caused by climate events and to maintain a resistant river ecosystem.
